Before you start building, making improvements, or sign a lease, research your property. The City's Zoning tells you the rules which land may be used. You are encouraged to contact staff to verify if a permit is required or not before starting any construction activities or opening your business.
- Building permits and inspections are required for new construction, additions, and remodeling work to confirm that all structures meet applicable City, State and Federal building code requirements. Most repairs or alterations require a building permit.
- A temporary encroachment permit (TEP) is required for any work in the City right-of-way (ROW) or city easement.
- A business license is required prior to any business being conducted within the City.
