Public Records Requests

The City of Imperial Beach is committed to providing prompt, courteous access to Public Records. All requests will be reviewed as soon as possible and responded to within 10 days in compliance with the California Public Records Act.

Building Plan Requests

If you are requesting building plans, please download and complete the Affidavit Request for Building Plans, and email it to our office.


Claims must be filed with the City Clerk of the City of Imperial Beach. Claims for death or injury to a person or personal property or growing crops must be filed within six months from the date the incident or event occurred. All other claims must be filed within one year. Where space is insufficient, please use additional paper and identify information by paragraph number. Completed claims must be mailed or delivered to:
